For the last eight years, J.D. Power and Associates has ranked the Microtel Inn & Suites brand highest in overall guest satisfaction in the economy lodging segment. The Microtel prototype was honored as Best Guestroom Design in the limited-service category at the HotelWorld Global Hospitality & Design Awards competition and received a Lodging Hospitality Chain Leadership Award in 2008.

Microtel Inns & Suites® hotels are economy hotels located throughout North America and Asia that offer guests single, double and suite accommodations. Properties feature complimentary local and long-distance phone calls within the continental United States, high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, expanded cable television, in-room coffeemaker and continental breakfast. Most properties offer meeting and fitness facilities, swimming pool and guest laundry. Select properties allow pets and offer print, copy and fax services. Children under 16 stay free with an adult.

The brand recently introduced a prototype guest-room design featuring flat-panel televisions, granite countertops and desks with easily accessible power outlets and data ports.

Prototype suites are divided into four zones with space to work, eat, sleep and relax and are equipped with the brand's signature MicroKitchen™ that includes a small refrigerator and microwave.

DreamwellTM is the Microtel Inns & Suites brand's signature bedding program, which offers guests a plush pillow-top mattress, fitted bed skirt, 200-thread count white linens with triple sheeting, down-like blanket, bed scarf and extra pillows.
